No Heat
This is normally due to failure of the heating element/s or thermostat/s with the thermostats being the more prone to failure
Cause's of the above to fail more frequently are failure to clean filters on a regular basis,overloading with clothing ie:causing poor air flow through the dryer and blocked (if you have it vented through the wall check the outside vent cover also) or kinked vent hoses which again causes poor air flow
Also note that vent hoses should not be to long the maxium should be about 12 feet as once these become to long the steam vapour produced from the drying will condense back to water before it gets to the end of the hose and can then run back into the dryer causing problems
Drum not Turning
Likley cause is a broken belt, belts are normally fitted around the main drum and the motor pulley with often a belt pulley/s to tension the belt, Its important to obtain the correct belt otherwise incorrect length of belt will either cause the belt to slip or cause excessive wear on motor and drum bearing if to tight. Again over loading will cause premature belt failure
Appliance repairs should only be undertaken by a qualified or
competent person with the electric supply disconnected
