The new FDL570 Hotpoint  dishwasher has changed design, the look of the dishwasher hasn’t changed too much but internally  there is a big difference. The wash pump motor is made by Askoll, this isn’t a motor as we know it.  The impellor on this thing vibrates and aggitates back & forward. I have replaced two of these pumps already due the impellor  falling off the motor shaft. The Hotpoint FDL570 31.8 ohm heater is seated on the end wash motor housing, both these and the other components situated in the base of the dishwasher are accessed via a plastic panel in the bottom of the dishwasher.
